Elks National Foundation

The 2019 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.

Eligibility:

  • Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
  • High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

Sons of Italy Scholarship
Two scholarships are available:

  • Academic Awards for seniors
  • Italian Language Study Grants

Applicant must be wholly or partially of Italian descent and enrolled in an accredited Trade School, College, University or Community College for the Fall of 2018. For more information and the application, visit their website: Sons of Italy

California Alarm Association: The 2017 CAA/ESA Youth Scholarship Program offers $25,000 in funds to children of active duty law enforcement and fire service personnel in the State of California who are graduating from high school in 2015. There are 11 regional awards, one statewide award, and four national awards. American Business Women’s Association–This scholarship is for a senior who is a Humb. Co. resident, 2.0 GPA or higher and plans to attend CR or Humboldt.

2018 Redwood Region Scholarships–Redwood Region Logging Conference is now accepting applications for the 2018 RRLC Scholarship and RRLC Diesel Mechanic & Heavy Equipment Operator Scholarships. Scholarships will be selected from graduating High School Senior(s) in Humboldt, Del Norte, and Mendocino Counties who will be enrolled in a Forestry or Natural Resource field of study to include (but not limited to) Forestry, Environmental Studies, Surveying, Wildlife Biology, Fisheries, or a related vocational training program such as Diesel Mechanics or Equipment Operator School. Humboldt County Farm Bureau offers four scholarships: Henri & Lanette Rousseau Memorial Scholarship, Production Forestry Scholarship, Sterling F. Paddock Scholarship, Humboldt County Wool Growers Scholarship to seniors who plan to major or minor in Ag, Science, Education. The following documents plus the application must be postmarked by April 1, 2018

  • Cover Letter – Describe your background, goals, involvement in Agriculture (if any) and your future plans.
  • Official High School Transcript – 1st time applicants. Request a supplemental transcript be sent following High School Graduation which will include GPA and date of graduation.
  • SAT or ACT Scores – (usually posted on High School transcript). Two letters of recommendation – 1st time applicants only.
  • Official College Transcript from each college where you have earned college credit of at least 10 units or more and an official High School Transcript

Jerome J. Colivas Memorial Scholarship–eligibility is anyone who is of Italian decent and/or is Roman Catholic. Each scholarship will be $1000.00. Application is available here: 2018 ITALIAN CATHOLIC FEDERATION Scholarship  Deadline is April 27, 2018.

The Mark E. Reed Scholarship Program has been making grants to deserving students since 1947. The program was established to honor the man who played a significant part in the history and development of our timberlands and who also influenced the education of many young people in Washington state. The Sewell Lufkin Memorial Scholarship–This scholarship will be awarded to a senior who will be studying music (major or a minor).

Jacoby Creek School Scholarship JCCEF would like to invite graduating seniors who are Jacoby Creek School alumni to apply for our merit-based scholarships. Each year, one to three scholarships (up to $500 each) are awarded depending on our funding.

Order Sons of Italy Eureka Lodge # 1274 Order Sons of Italy Eureka Lodge # 1274 offers $1000 scholarships to seniors who qualify with a 3.0 gpa or higher, Italian heritage and from a Humboldt County High School. Application is located in the college counseling office.
